Sesame Street Preschools is the latest educational initiative from Sesame Workshop, one of the largest non-profit educational organisation in the world who produce the world acclaimed children’s educational television show, Sesame Street. In a complex and rapidly changing world where young learners need an energetic head start to succeed. This is is the latest milestone in Sesame Street’s mission: to empower children everywhere to reach their highest potential. Sesame Workshop has been present in India since 2006, through its television show, Galli Galli Sim Sim, an Indian adaptation of Sesame Street. It now wants to bring its vast educational material and research, based on 40 years of insight into how children learn best, to Indian children through the Sesame Street Preschool programme, for pre-primary learners ages 2 to 5, and the Sesame Street afterschool programme to reinforce science and maths concepts, for children ages 6 to 8. Sesame Street Preschool successfully launched franchised centres in Jaipur, Kanpur and Meerut and will also be opening in Alwar, Dehradun, Lucknow, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Patna.
