Franchising has come a long way in India since 1999 when we established Franchise India. Defying the Newton law and the economics of business cycles that everything that goes up must inevitably come down, franchising over the past 16 years, has kept accelerating upward, dominating some industries and bringing some other industries to the forefront. Franchising is fast moving towards becoming an economic powerhouse in India, as consumers prefer branded purchases, and brands are using the franchise channel to reach out to their customers. The relevance of franchising and its power to leverage entrepreneurial resources, to build growth in India, has never been as strong as it is today, and now is the time for franchisors to establish leadership as they grow.
In its 12th year, the Franchise Awards seeks to identify the inspiring stories of building franchise systems, where actions are local, but principles are universal, where partnerships put people first; and processes enable all to reach for perfection and the profit is for all to share.
Franchise Awards 2014 highlights the outstanding business acumen, passion and achievement of franchise businesses across the country. The Awards will establish leadership of such brands who have through their growth, demonstrated that franchising success is more than the sum of its parts.
